Hello, I’m Matty the founder of City Yoga Birmingham. I have been teaching yoga since 2009 and I would like to welcome you to my new yoga studio, conveniently located between Birmingham’s vibrant Jewellery Quarter and the heart of the City Centre.

Within the studio we will provide a variety of yoga and well-being classes each with the simple philosophy of “Yoga for All”.

So whether you are a complete beginner or accomplished in yoga, we think you will find our studio, and our teachings, beneficial. Come and discover more about this truly wonderful practice with its ancient roots and contemporary relevance to our busy lives.

City Yoga Birmingham

Exciting things comingI trained at Contemporary School of Yoga and they’re currently recruiting their teachers for 2019.
.
It’s a course you can complete locally (Birmingham City Centre), whilst working full time (that’s how I managed it 🤗).
.
This advert sums up the experience 😂 (so much love and laughter).
.
If you want to do a teacher training but feel a deep sense of dread at the idea of being spoon fed dogma about what being a yogi should or shouldn’t be, this course might suit you. It was an empowering course that helped you trust your own body, instincts and personal passions.
.
The course covers ancient spirituality, the subtle body, modern movement, anatomy, meditation, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative yoga. There is also big focus on preparing teachers to become good teachers - sequencing skills, confidence and delivery (this played a large part in me having the confidence to teach once I graduated).
.
The founder of the school (my teacher) has over 10 years of experience teaching yoga, yoga therapy, shamanism, and has trained with international and world renowned yoga teachers. The wisdom, calmness and clarity he brings to this course is exceptional.
.
If you’re interested let them know @contemporaryschoolofyoga or feel free to ask me any questions you have 😍.

So come and join us at 17:15 on Monday for 60 minutes of beginners blissful yoga.

Oh and here’s a little clip of the practice you’ll be focussing on.
